Self-priming Pump
A self-priming pump is a centrifugal pump that automatically removes air from the suction line, thus establishing fluid flow without manual refilling.
Product Overview
A self-priming pump is a centrifugal pump that automatically removes air from the suction line, thus establishing fluid flow without manual refilling. It utilizes a built-in starting fluid tank to mix air and liquid to create a vacuum, allowing it to be placed above the fluid source. It features a compact structure, convenient operation, stable running, easy maintenance, high efficiency, and long service life.
Working Principle
Self-priming pumps feature automatic priming functionality enabled by an internal liquid reservoir that retains fluid after initial priming. During operation, air drawn from the suction line mixes with stored liquid at the impeller to form a gas-liquid mixture. High-speed rotation of the impeller generates internal vacuum pressure, forcing air upward while separating denser liquid into the pump’s built-in reservoir. The deaerated liquid recirculates back to the impeller chamber and mixes with residual air in the suction line. This cyclic gas-liquid separation process repeats until all air is fully expelled from the pump body. Once the pump is completely filled with liquid, standard continuous liquid pumping operation commences.
Feature
1. Powerful anti-clogging sewage transport capacity: Utilizing a professionally optimized anti-clogging impeller structure, this pump maintains high operating efficiency during sewage transport, effectively preventing clogging caused by impurities and solid particles, ensuring long-term stable transport of wastewater and sewage.
2. Superior energy efficiency: Employing an advanced hydraulic flow channel design, this pump boasts optimized fluid transport performance. Its overall operating efficiency is 3%–5% higher than traditional self-priming pumps, effectively reducing operating energy consumption and costs.
3. Reliable self-priming performance: Optimized internal structural design significantly enhances self-priming capability. Compared to ordinary models, this pump has a 1-meter higher self-priming height and a shorter self-priming time, enabling faster start-up and more adaptable liquid intake under complex operating conditions.
